The Southern Hills Shopping Center renovation was a comprehensive effort to modernize one of Springfield’s longstanding retail destinations. Snyder was extensively involved in preconstruction, partnering closely with the architect to study feasibility, refine design options, and plan the work for both efficiency and cost control. The scope included removal of the aging canopy, sidewalks, and curb islands, followed by structural upgrades and a complete façade refresh to create a more modern and cohesive look.

Executing this project presented unique challenges, as all tenants remained open and accessible throughout construction. Careful phasing, clear communication, and strategic scheduling were essential to maintain customer access and ensure safety while delivering a significant transformation.
